The premiere of the drama show “Face of Face” based on the play “Urod” by Marius Mayenburg took place on June 11 and 12. Erlik Zhuasbek, head of Taldykorgan Kazakh Drama Theater named after B. Rimova, specially came to the premiere in support of director Daniyar Bazarkulov. On March 27, a festive evening of the Makhambet academic Kazakh drama theater was held in honor of the International Theater Day. From November 13 to 18, 2023, the I Republican Festival of Theaters will be held, dedicated to the 220th anniversary of the birth of Makhambet Utemisovich.

With the support of the akim of Atyrau region, the Department of Culture and Language Development, the academic Kazakh Drama Theater named after Makhambet, it is planned to raise the flag of the republican festival of theaters dedicated to the 220th anniversary of the birth of the most outstanding poet of the XIX century, batyr, composer Makhambet Utemisuly. From November 13 to 18, 6 theater groups, artists, theater critics rush to Atyrau for the festival bearing the name of the great ancestor.

Within the framework of the 800th anniversary of Sultan beibars, the Makhambet academic Kazakh Drama Theater visited Cairo, the capital of Egypt. The theater staff returned to the country, where our ancestor walked, in Cairo, heard the sound of the Kazakh language, the melody of the dombra, prayed in the mosque built by the sultan himself. At the V Teart-Kokshe International Theater Festival in Sulu kokshe bauyru, the Makhambet academic Kazakh Drama Theater won the main prize – Altyn Kyran…
The festival was attended by 13 professional theaters, including 6 Kazakh ones. The production, based on the story of the outstanding writer R. Otarbayev “loneliness”, staged by the famous director Mukangali Tomanov, has already made a band abroad. The creative team of the academic theater named after aruakty batyr Makhambet was impressed by the performances of the native language, national drama, and Atyrau theater, most of which were staged in Russian.
