Dear residents and guests of Atyrau!
From 12 to 16 October, Atyrau will host the III International Theatre Festival named after Rakhymzhan Otarbayev, an outstanding Kazakh writer and playwright, Honoured Figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Honorary Citizen of Atyrau.
Organised with the support of the Akimat of Atyrau Region, this major cultural event will bring together 9 theatre companies from Kazakhstan, as well as theatres from Kyrgyzstan and Karakalpakstan.
Over five festival days, audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy productions in a variety of genres and explore, through the language of theatre, the themes of human destiny, national identity, love and the values of life reflected in the works of Rakhymzhan Otarbayev.

The festival programme will give audiences an opportunity to discover different theatre schools and creative approaches within a single theatrical space. Performances by theatre companies from different regions of Kazakhstan and abroad will bring five days of memorable emotions and inspiring theatrical experiences to audiences in Atyrau.
