Within the framework of the 800th anniversary of Sultan beibars, the Makhambet academic Kazakh Drama Theater visited Cairo, the capital of Egypt. The theater “CAIRO OPERA HOUSE “hosted the performance of the outstanding writer Rakhimzhan Otarbayev” Beybarys”. Governor of Cairo Kalyubiy, head of the Opera House Khaled Daguerre, local famous General Abdulhamid Al Haghtan and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Arab Republic of Egypt Kairat Lama Sharif took part in the performance. The audience of Cairo watched with great pleasure the performance describing the contradictory, struggle fate of the great man, who was sold into slavery from the Kipchak steppes and then ruled for 17 years as the fourth Sultan of the Mamluks state, the great longing for his native land and the smell of Wormwood. The theater staff returned to the country, where our ancestor walked, in Cairo, heard the sound of the Kazakh language, the melody of the dombra, prayed in the mosque built by the sultan himself. In this regard, on behalf of the team, we express our gratitude to the Akim of Atyrau region Serik Zhambyl, who supported such a historical journey.
