On May 19 at 7:00 PM, the Makhambet Academic Kazakh Drama Theatre will host the premiere of the new comedy performance “One Wedding for Five Bachelors.”
The story revolves around five bachelors living under one roof: the elderly Kyrmanbay and his four sons. The father dreams of seeing his sons settled down and happily married. However, although the sons have already found the women they love, they decide that their father should get married first. Unexpectedly, a bride is found for Kyrmanbay himself, and from that moment the story becomes even more lively, humorous, and entertaining.
Filled with witty humor, subtle satire, and traditional Kazakh-style comedy, the performance playfully reflects on social stereotypes, certain cultural traditions, and the complexities of human character. While making the audience laugh, the play also encourages thoughtful reflection.
