From November 13 to 18, 2023, the I Republican Festival of Theaters will be held, dedicated to the 220th anniversary of the birth of Makhambet Utemisovich.
The festival will be attended by 7 theater groups, in which a preliminary selection was held:
West Kazakhstan Regional Kazakh Drama Theater named after Hadisha Bokeeva;
Mangystau Regional Music and Drama Theater named after Nurmukhan Zhanturin;
Zhezkazgan Kazakh Musical Drama Theater named after Serke Kozhamkulov
Akmola Regional Kazakh Musical and Drama Theater named after Shakhmet Kusainov; (Kokshetau)
Kostanay Regional Kazakh Drama Theater named after Ilyas Omarov;
Shymkent City Academic Kazakh Drama Theater named after Zhumat Shanin;
Atyrau Regional Academic Kazakh Drama Theater named after Makhambet
The presentation of the book by the chief artist of the academic Kazakh Drama Theater named after Makhambet, knight of the Order of “Kurmet” Temirbek Mukhtarov “through the eyes of the artist” took place at the press conference.
